   How about a homemade bookmark, or placemat made from old photographs. Both of these can be done pretty quickly.
   If you can do basic sewing…a pillowcase is nice. (directions at http://kidoozy.com/blog/?p=270)
   Bake her her favorite cake or pie or cookies.

   find some nice photos of hers, with you and the rest of the family or friends, and black and white them and then put them into a big nice frame. With at least one photo of you and her together. Be creative with the frame, you can handmake it using paper board or buy some cheap ones but put cute stuff around it or paint them into her fav color.

   buy some card and make up some I O U’s for your mum,like I promise to make the beds, do the washing up etc some of the household chores you know your mum dislikes cost almost nothing and as long as you do the things on the card when she asks
